Labour Rights Organization (LARO) is a non-governmental organization duly registered with Malawi Government in 2011, under the Trustees Act. LARO aims at building the capacity of both employers and employees on labour and employment rights in Malawi.

We empower employers and employees with knowledge and advocacy on human and labour rights.

Our programs include workshops, legal support, and awareness campaigns to ensure all stakeholders understand their rights and responsibilities in the workplace.

Unsafe Labour Practices
Unsafe Labour Practices

We address and advocate against all forms of workplace abuse and unsafe conditions.

We work with partners to investigate, report, and resolve cases of unfair treatment, discrimination, and unsafe environments, promoting compliance with labour laws.

Labour Migration
Migration and Human Trafficking

We campaign for safe migration and fight against human trafficking in the labour sector.

Our initiatives include community sensitization, legal aid, and collaboration with authorities to protect vulnerable workers and prosecute traffickers.

Child Labour
Child Labour

We work to eliminate child labour and support affected children and families.

Through advocacy, rescue operations, and rehabilitation programs, we strive to give every child a safe and dignified future.
